To donate for ADRA

We at the dictrict headquarters of the Seventh-day Adventist church are deeply moved by the news reports we’ve seen of the tragic earthquake in Haiti, and we know that the members of our churches have similar feelings about this massive tragedy. Jesus’ compelling story in Matthew 25 that tells us whatever we do for people such as those today in Haiti—people who are hungry, hurting, and homeless—we do for Him.

What is the best way for us in the Southeastern California Conference to do this?

Our recommendation is that we support the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA), which is already on the ground in Haiti. You can give to ADRA’s Haiti Earthquake Response Fund by one of the following methods:

Online: www.adra.org/haiti.

Telephone:
To make credit card donations, call 1-800-424-ADRA (2372).

Mail: Make checks payable to ADRA, write “Haiti Earthquake Fund” on the memo line, send to Donor Services Department, ADRA International, 12501 Old Columbia Pike, Silver Spring, MD 20904.

While this situation seems so overwhelming, it’s comforting to know that God is there and that we CAN make a difference for our brothers and sisters in Haiti with our prayers and our donations.
